A friend of mine is an upcoming travel Vlogger so she asked me to help her out in choosing an ideal travel backpack for her shoots. Our research on this became quite extensive, exciting, and informative so thought of sharing it with my virtual familia. Hey! Why not? So we ‘dissected’ (as she and I rightfully said 10 different bags online of various brands to conclude and procure the ideal one for her. Her basic requirement was: to fit all equipment without any hassle and it should not tear apart. Read on to know more about the product recommendations and see which one she settled on and why.
P.S. To keep it simple and avoid confusion, we named each backpack so sharing those with you!
Additional information (something that we didn’t know!): The backpacks were sized in inches and LITRES! I mean really? Isn’t liters for measuring liquid? So we dug into that a bit to find out when ‘L’ is mentioned, it not literally means liquid capacity but gives the customer an idea of the size. Thought this might help!

When looking for a backpack specifically for a Vlogger, what are the key components to consider?
When you’re buying a backpack, you have to consider the durability, strength, material, space, look, feel, comfort and size. Traveling is all about being comfortable. Ensure that the backpack is the same height as your torso.
How do I carry my gear when Vlogging?
Be as specific and organized as you can. Label the compartments if you need to. You really can not be wasting your time in finding the right lens and missing out on your chance to take that picture!
What equipment should I take with me?
Read the following list and take notes:
I- A compact mirrorless camera
ii- External Mic
iii- Tripod
iv- Windshield
v- Selfie stick
vi- A choice of 2 lenses (minimum)
vii- A spare camera
Should I check in my equipment or hand carry it?
Even though the airlines have now allowed checking in your camera, it is still preferred to hand-carry it. Cameras are fragile and expensive therefore best to not give them in the hands of strangers.
